XL2370 vs U2410

I'm trying to decide on a display and both of these seem really nice but I'm having a hard time justifying paying $200 more for the U2410. Is the quaility going to be that much greater to make up the difference? My primary use for this is at home for WoW and some FPS games and my wife also likes to do picture editing. There seem to be stories in the U2410 thread about problems with the panel and suggestions to wait until the next revision but I was hoping to get something before the end of the year.

Any thoughts?

The XL2370 is a horrible monitor with low contrast, bad brightness uniformity, and an inferior panel.

2370 has very good contrast, but not the same color rendition as the U2410, which excels in color rendition, but has mediocre contrast.

Honestly, if you don't have to have a monitor right now wait a bit. LED backlights are predicted to be 45% of the market in 2010, which means a lot of the models you see right now are going to get updated. If you simply drop into your local store and have a look at the regular 2370 vs the XL2370 you'll see a difference. Now picture what that difference could do for the 2410 or 2408 and you'll get the idea where LED backlights are going.

Waiting is probably the right thing to do at this point, I really want a new one but neither of these is exactly what I want.
