Whatever happened to this card? From what I read, it's worse than anything on the market today -- even integrated graphics. eesh!

I wonder if it will hit 1-3 FPS on Doom3

:p

lol what were they thinking when they made that card. 2 chips not better then 1!

It was supposed to compete with 9800xt, but performed like crap. Maybe they will get their act together and put together a card to compete with ATi and Nvidia.

From what I have heard they have a LOT of work to do on their drivers. I do hope they come back with something awesome. I'm thinking of grabbing a V8 Duo for my little collection of cards. :D

They have the bandwidth and gpu performance to be contenders with ati/nvidia but a piss poor driver team. I seem to remember reading they have dropped out of the card race.

Hmm if i recall correctly they crashed during qualifying, so they didn't make the race. Something about not having a chance, coupled with an idea that 3dfx couldn't even make successful, just didn't work out for them. (let the flaming of my joke begin.... NOW!) :D

lol at the HardOCP workshop today, someone asked "Is XGI dead?" Then they pulled out 5 or 6 of the cards that were to be given away later.
