Hi,

For a 6950 2gb card, would you go xfx or msi? or any other brand?

thanks

If you're going to keep the card for two years or less, MSI. If more than two years, XFX. If XFX and MSI are the same price, XFX. If MSI is >=$15 cheaper, MSI.

I believe MSI warranty is 3 years not 2? Another difference is MSI warranty is serial number based, you do not need your receipt or to register (basically transferable without limit), but the date starts from the manufactured not purchasing date. XFX's is registration based, within 30 days of purchase, for the double life time warranty (transferable once).

The reason I say two years is because if you are selling the card having a warranty for the next buyer makes it more attractive. If you sell the MSI before or around two years or ownership you still give the buyer one year of warranty, which still helps selling it. And yes, limitedaccess is right.
