o hi
so i have an xfi xtreme gamer card, have it all hooked up through the optical adapter i picked up, sound is good (compared to the headphone to rca thinger that i was using previously,) but i can't get it to recognize the 5.1 that i have on my stereo.
i have a pioneer vsx-412 and all i'm getting when i do the channel test is the front three channels picking up an sound. I have the receiver in pro logic II movie, i've tried it in other modes as well and still only get sound from the front three speakers. this makes me a sad panda.
any ideas?
(side bar, everything is hooked up fine and dandy with the stereo - all is perfect with the ps3, etc.)
