Basically, (1) it took half an hour to get the damn drivers installed. The install program from Microsoft kept failing, so I had to install them manually, then reboot 3 times to get it to show up properly. (2) Upon showing up properly in the Device Manager (under the heading "XBOX 360 Peripherals"), it now doesn't show up at all under the Game Controllers configuration utility OR any of my games (specifically Frets on Fire). The installer program from Microsoft STILL fails (picture provided).
Can SOMEONE give me some advice? Google isn't giving me anything, and this is really starting to drive me up the wall. What the hell am I missing? And what the hell ever happened to "plug and play"? This is NOT the first peripheral that has done this to me. /rant
