Sorry for my bad english, it is not my first language.
I plan to purchase an XBOX 360. I got an old 24 inch samsung TV and colors are awfull on it.
But I got a pretty good Viewsonic vx2025 LCD widescreen computer screen.
I have been searching these forums and over the net and saw that it was possible to connect an XBOX 360 to a computer monitor.

I would like to know if any of you have tried the X2VGA 2 from http://www.x2vga.com/
Will I be able to play HD XBOX 360 games with this?
I don't want to buy another TV.
So what I want to know is this a good idea or should I skip buyin an XBOX 360?

Thanx for your help

You can connect an Xbox360 to an LCD using the Microsoft adapter. Not sure about the product you mentioned but I'd go for the MS/certified to work product then a third party.

will I have the same picture quality with the vga cable and with the adaptor?
My screen resolution is at best at: 1680 X 1050

thanx

The transcoder probably won't look anywhere near as good as the VGA output.

The transcoder takes analog component output and uses a processor to turn it into VGA output.

The XBox 360 has native VGA output built into it already. You just need to purchase the cable.

I've heard mixed reviews concerning picture quality of the transcoder (also consider the vdigi transcoder) versus the VGA cable. Some folks seem to get better color out of the transcoder.
