x850xt pe fan problems.

i have the xtasy x850xt pe pci-e card. What i notice is that my fan can only run at 100% or 0%....and it annoys me. do yall know what's wrong with my fan? i've tried a few bios flashes....and i can't seem to get one that works well. i tried the march update from ati...it gets the fan to spin correctly but my card is then detected as an x800xl. i need some help...thanks

long story short....i have the ati x800pro cooler on there....you think that's the problem?

(long story for those who wanna read it: i had the stock fan on there, upgraded to the artic cooler.......sold the artic cooler but couldn't find the stock anymore....still had my spare x800pro fan. it spins fine with a couple bios and like i said, it's not a dead fan cause it spins at 100% or not at all....thanx)
 
just grab an aftermarket fan like a silencer or the zalman and your good to go
its worth the money
 
yah, i was thinking of buying an artic cooler again.....(i like them more than the zalman because it covers the ram sinks too as opposed to little dinky one's from the zalman)......and yah, i've used ati tool, that's how i know the fan only runs at 0% or 100%....thanks for the help yall......i also know that if i flashed to an x850agp bios....it'll read it as an x800xl and the fan will run properly too....
