hey everyone!
got an X850 pro vivo and Oc'd it with ATI tool first to XT speeds... then to XT PE speeds.

temps are 40-50 idle
60-73 load

room temp is about 30

do you think I should just go ahead and flash to XT PE... keep in mind im running the stock pro cooler.

thanks

Why not? Worst case scenario, you restart during BIOS flash and have to borrow a PCI card from a friend or Best Buy and reflash to the original BIOS. No big deal.

I went from 12 Pipelines at 400/490 to 16 at 600/600 and saw a 100% Performance gain in Counter Strike Source.

Go ahead and try it.

For sure you should, unlock the extra 4 pipes and as long as you keep that stock fan running at full speed, you should be ok to keep it at 540 / 590. Hell as long as you don't go past 80c's under load, I would push the card even further.

without flashing the card crashes at core 550... at 65 degrees in ATItool...

Then I would flash it and run the fan @ 100% when its heat gets past 55c

at the XT PE speeds its gotten up to 73 degrees

so I don't think the heat crashed it

my fan kicks to 100 after 65...hmmmm

I wonder if it needs more voltage?
