anyone know how to fix this? I've used the s-video out and component yellow out. Both result in dark, crappy, black and white image. catalyst says the tv is pal ( it's ntsc here in canada). There's not settingon the tv itself for this so I'm wondering if anyone has a solution. thanks.

x800xt recognizing tv as pal for some reason

Yep, tried that already. It's only giving me a whole bunch of PAL options. No sign of ntsc. blah!

Some of the older ati cards had a jumper on the board to select ntsc or pal. I would pull out the card and check, there might be one.
