I was very skepticle about replacing my 9800 pro with an X800 because of an article I read at http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/x800_pro_athlon_xp/. Basically what the review stated was that these new cards were CPU bottlenecked. The XP3200+ showed little increase in fps. I followed the advice of some of you fellow gamers and picked one up anyway. I was not dissapointed. I am very hapy with my overall results. Any glitches, no matter how slight they werer in high performance gaming are gone. All games play extremely smooth. Im not much for benchmarks, but I run them anyway. Here are some results... :D 3dmark2003 with 9800pro 6466 Oc'd
3dmark2003 with X800pro 10148 Oc'd

My system as follows: XP3200+ slghtly overclocked to 2.317ghz, Asus A7N8X-E deluxe.
1 gig of Corsair 3200ddr. 2xWD 250gig hd's. X800pro oc'd. Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Logitech Z-680 ground pounding speakers. Clear case mod 5x80mm fans, Fan Master controlled. 350watt Antec True Blue.

Thats it for me, Happy as a clam...No more upgrading till PCI express hits mainstream and the new AMD architecure processors are out. About 1 year to 1 1/2 year wait.

Man I'm glad to hear you had good results. I am waiting for a X800pro to be sent and have similler specs. I am fired up about it now for sure! Thanks for the info.
