I have a x800 pro, ATI, with out the ati theater chip and without the yellow connector on it. I was just wondering if there was a bios i could get for the card that would allow xt or xt-pe specs except for the 16 pipes. It runs at x800xt speeds all the time so it would be no problem

Just because it runs at XT-PE speeds with 12 pipes, does NO mean it will run at XT-PE speeds with 16 pipes.

You need a Pro VIVO card to flash to a XT-PE

no, i just wanted my pro card to run with a x800xt bios that says i have an x800xt in windows. Read the post carefully, it would mean that I still had all 12 pipes instead of 16.

Don't you love it when people offer advice w/o reading? :D

Extract your current bios with flashrom or ati tool. Then use Rabit 1.5 to make your clock adjustments. Save and reflash your card with your new bios.

I havent tried flashing to a PE w/o the hard mod on a pro. It may flash and leave you with the PE speeds and change the identifier to a PE. Causing it to install as a PE but with 12 pipes. Give it a shot.

I did that, I have it flashed with the pro bios and the pe id, but it still says x800 pro, and there are 2 ids, the hardware and software, and the rabit thing only changes hardware. :(
