X800 Pro Problem

I recently installed a Radeon x800 in an old socket A motherboard and it ran fine with the 400W power supply I was using. Wanting some more fps in Team Fortress 2 I moved it to a socket AM2 using the same power supply and randomly the screen would go black, sometimes causing a reboot, other times my desktop would come back but I would have no acceleration. I figured it wasn't getting enough juice thanks to the new cpu? So I've got a better psu coming in the mail.

However, I just decided to try it again since it was mostly fine with just desktop use, and as soon as I power on there's a red message flashing telling me connect the power supply to the graphics card(It is connected and I've tried 2 psu's). And when I remove the card to go back to onboard graphics I get a message along these lines at post, "Warning!!! The previous performance of overclocking is failed", and it restores the default settings, so is the card dead or is there anything I can do?
 
You have 2 different issues here.
First, your psu is not enough. Thats is why you are getting the error saying that you need to plug in the power to your card.

2nd, pop the battery out of your motherboard to reset the bios. This will reset it and you will not get the overclock error. The error was generated because you tried to overclock your cpu and was unsuccessful. It has nothing to do with your graphics card.

From the sounds of it, I would avoid overclocking all togehter. You need a litttle more experience under your belt.
 
I'm a bit confused. For you to have that X800 in a Socket A board, it would have to be an AGP card. I have never seen an AM2 board with AGP. Am I missing something?
 
Both motherboards are AGP(MSI K9MM-V), also I have not overclocked anything, that overclocking message was a result of merely taking out the X800 after getting the error about the power cable.
