Hello everyone! I need your help with my x800 pro. I want to overclock it, but I would like to hear from those who have overclocked a standard x800 pro. What cooler are you using? What is your max overclock? Did you enable all the pipes? Any info you can give me would help. Thanks!

I got up to 560/570 on stock cooling alone. The stock cooler on the x800s really is pretty nice. I say just try it with the stock cooler. For the pipes, I have a regular BBA card and not a VIVO so I couldn't enable the extra 4 pipes. :(

I tried the stock cooling, but the computer locked up at 526 on the core. What should I try next? Should I get better cooling?

I use stock cooling on mine, mine went to 540 core and 560 memory and the temps didn't really increase all that much.

It's kind of luck of the draw. But I suppose you could get some better cooling.

If I try the hard mod to enable the extra pipes and it doesnt work, will it screw my card up? I seems easy to do. Whats your thoughs?

If you try the hard mod and get corruption due to the extra pipes being defective, you can just remove whatever medium you used to connect the bridges and the mod will be removed. How do you think ATI finds out if they're good/bad?
