i don't believe that soldering flux conducts electricity to any significant degree.

AS5 is designed to be as poor a conductor as they can make it. it's not something that you should be using when you WANT to conduct electricity.

have you seen if a local electronic equipment supply store carries any silver paint or silver pens?
 
I don't even know what mod you are talking about, you said you couldn't find a pen.....so I thought I would link you to one.

as5 is practically non conductive, someone made a point of this and smeared it all over there video card and it still ran iirc
