X800 PE for Maya 3D modelling

Hi!

I know in a way this should be posted in the ATI video card section but I figured
its more a matter of workstation rather then gaming

Is anyone here is running an ATI X800 based card with Maya.

What are your toughs?

Most people I've asked this still say nVidia GO, ATI NO (for Maya). But these
arguments in my opinion are based on the older facts like ATI's infamous drivers
issues and the older 9x00 cards.

I'd like to know if the newer drivers and X800 cards are a viable option for Maya
and 3D modelling in general.
