Would you dare trying a X79 rig in this case? How about GTX 580 too? I was considering CM Scout too pretty similar specs.

Or is this case limited to 1155 rig.

ATX cases for the most part are all designed for big video cards, i'm sure this will take w/e size video card you put into it. It says on Lian-Li's site that it has clearance for 430mm and some of the longest cards are around 290mm so you'll be fine. That being said how much are you getting the PC-7FNWX for? i see it for around $180 on some sites and for that price you could get a 650D 600T, or a really nice NZXT case that imo look better and probably build better. Lian-Li is over rated imho.

If you are getting it for a good price or just really like the case, thats cool, one thing to keep a look out about is the size of your heatsink. I don't really see much info on this case regarding if there's enough clearance for a really big cpu heatsink, so just make sure to give yourself extra room for the heatsink on top of the mobo etc.

I have a Lian Li 8nwx love the size of it. I was concerned about PSU on top and the 7FNWX had similar specs and PSU on the bottom. Heatsink I thought about it figured I might be forced to use stock one included with cpu. Not sure if that would be good with heat.or not. I use Hotswap for my HD's so I like a clean non covered with panel front.

Just to let you know, x79 processors (3930K and the 3960X) don't include a stock heatsink, you either have to buy one separately from Intel or buy an aftermarket one. If you happen to have a microcenter nearby they give a free h80 out with purchase which is a really nice closed water cooling system from corsair (if you're worried about water i wouldn't, if it leaks they pay for a new system for you). Otherwise theres a lot of regular air heatsinks etc. I mention the H80 because there would be absolutely no problem with clearance.

IMO getting an i7 extreme processor and then using the stock CPU cooler on it is a travesty. If you're worried about space, I would suggest getting a liquid cooler.
