256mb cards, they're both around 200, so which one is better?

Thanks,
Mike

The x700 is PCI-E and the 9800Pro is AGP. If your board doesn't have PCI-E, then the x700 won't be very useful.

Newegg has a lot of x700 pros, around 10 or 11

x700pros exist now?
They always have.
You're thinking of the X700XT.
The X700 pro is a bit better than a 9800 pro, even though the memory bus width is only 128.
Also for high res, since it has 256MB of ram, it's a bit better as well, again, even though it has a 128bit bus.
Also like a previous poster said, they're only avail in pci-express form atm.
