x1800xt overclocking help

My roomate and I built a PC and are having trouble posting decent 3dmark05 scores, they just seem really low. Here's the system were working with.

ati x1800xt @ 702cpu 846memory 1.4vcpu
amd opteron 165 OC to 2800mhz
DFI Lanparty Ultra-d
mushkin 500mhz 1g 3-4-4-8
WinXP

As you can see it's a decent overclock, but it's only scoring max 7777 no matter what drivers I've tried. Many other people on project search for 3dmark05 with close to the same setup have all broken 10k. Anyone know what our limiting factor is and why we can't even break 8k?

nvm i guess, found out putting the video card in an 16x slot that only runs at 2x(yea wtf) was the problem. w00t 10007 stock cooled @ 681cpu 828mem. any higher on cpu and it freezes the comp at over 76c, wish i knew why... i guess we can accept just over 10k but i think well get an aftermarket cooler for the card anyways.
