How well do they perform in a Crossfire setup? What are some of your FPS's in BF2, HL2 and etc? Im thinking of getting 2 of these sometime soon, and I know they are pretty good by thereselfs.

I wish you X1600 Crossfire users better luck than I had using 6600GT SLI - everyone and their brother seemed to want to flame me for not using top end SLI, and explain to me how one upper level card a "better choice".

To the X1600 Crossfire rebels, I salute you! Multi card is just fun to play with.

Wow that is pretty damn good. Thanks alot, those are the games I play, great settings and FPS. I also play at a 1024x768 res and even if I do upgrade my monitor it will probably only do a 1280x 1024 res the most. I really want a 2005FPW, I just dont think I am willing enough to waste that kind of money on it, when I can get a 17in or 19in for 250 or so and still have a great gaming experience. It also seems like you pulled 4x AA for every game. Call me crazy but to me, 2x AA is good enough, so im sure running it at 2x AA instead of 4x AA like you are, is going to increase those FPS by a good amount.

Hey you don't have to explain yourself to me- I bought SLI 6600GTs and 6800NUs before the higher end stuff.

Multicard is just fun to play with, and those 6600GTs smoked without AA at high res.

We are brothers.

Well, thats what I thought but, the box my Saphire came in says I did...I dunno... :(
the boxes have a same generic label but i bought 2 sapphire X1600XT's and a board and bam it all works awsome and didnt bust my wallet i only play sertain games on pc since i also have a xbox 360

Its nice the x1600's have no cables to use for crossfire or internal connectors its all handled by the pcie bus

thats hard to say i have no way to test that res , id say maybe ,maybe not as the crossfire cat ai improves so will the performance in games its still young . it would be nice if ATI would tell us what games run in what mode. like when i rename the fear.exe i get a pretty large boost in frames it changes rendering modes in crossfire , no drop in IQ just boost in FPS

That stopped happening to me when I updated to cat 5.9!
