I just built the PC in my Sig like a month ago after returning from Iraq. I do have some extra money... is it worth it...

I primarily listen to music alot... and watch alot of movies...

Right now I ahve a Altec Lansing 2.1 Set... its pretty new... but do plan on going with a strong 5.1 setup for christmas time....

worth it from you experts? / people who have one
 
I'm no expert, but I decided it was worth it and ordered one tonight. I'm pretty happy with my Audigy 2 ZS, but it seems that the X-Fi is a pretty significant leap forward in terms of architecture (I mean, the thing has 51 million transistors. The A2 has a little over 4). The majority of opinions here from those who own one seems to be positive, which I think is somewhat unusual for a Creative product. ;)
 
Well I can't say from experience, but I was convinced into getting one too. I just have to go out and get one now. As for that 5.1 setup, there's a really good deal on Klipsch 5.1 Promedia Ultras as Dell Home right now. I'm a little annoyed because I would have saved a good $70 had I waited two weeks.
