X-Fi and BF2

I just got the X-Fi music card and installed it. I have never had a problem with playing BF2 and the system crashing. Now, after installing the card with the newest drivers/software; while playing BF2 I get crashes to the desktop, or the system completely locking up.

Anyone have any similar issues?

The onboard audio has been disabled and the drivers removed.

That was pretty common...and there was a generic fix for it. Someone here will know...just keep the topic up.
 
I get something similar a lot more, crashed to the desktop and/or total lockups
sys specs and are you OC'ing
 
Creative has a knowlege base about this. Also I got a thread about my Doom3 not working at all with the new X-Fi as the only new variable; a guy offered that creative has a driver update that supposedly addresses that issue....go to creative.com :D
