I take it the 5800 Ultra is a collector's item now?

I post this for reference only as my wife isn't ready to sell hers yet. She pre-ordered hers paid in full and waited WAY to long to get it . By the time she got it the 5900 was close to release. It came from Nvidia in a plain white cardboard shipping box with the same GeForce FX sticker that is on the fan shroud. It's future home is a shadow box that it will share with a pair of BFG GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768 MB cards. Good hunting as you look to find a card.

if the source is correct...the production run for NV30 chips was:

*100,000 total

*50,000 for Quadro cards
*30,000 for OEM cards
*20,000 for retail cards

who knows how many actually saw the light of day...or were used to rail frag an online player!

if you want to get really daring, try for one of the review samples...

Sadly after reviewing it, pelt cooling it, and blowing it up, i finally got rid of it around 2007

*bump*

will pay $500 shipped now for the NV30 reference

Sweet. An ultra gt. I have one of those too. It is a beastly overclocker that does a little more than 600 MHz on the core. Considering stock is something like 450-475 that is huge.

How are things going with your wife's FX 5800 Ultra now? Just curious

Thank you all for your support. Today I finalized the purchase of a Reference-based "BFG Asylum" NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 Ultra:
