WRV54G Problems!

I have a few customers who are running WRV54G VPN routers. Whenever these routers lose WAN connectivity they drop the LAN side of the router as well, it just freaks out and locks up. No pings, nothing. The routers are running PPPoE back to us, terminating here, which works fine, but if the WAN drops, you cannot ping, renew ips, nothing back to the ethernet interface on this router.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Do you have the latest firmwares on the client's routers? That usually takes care of most hard-lock problems. Other than that, the things have been known to overheat, so double-check the area you have them located in and make sure there's some air moving around them.
