So my new msi GT683r has an Intel Centrino Wireless N-130 card. It plays nicely with my newer N band routers, but it can't connect to my old WRT54G (no N obviously).
For some reason my computer can't connect a solid G signal. It connects and disconnects (Solid 4 bars one minute yellow triangle the next) seemingly frequently. Packets surge as well. I may send and receive 10k packets one time every minute or so, but no more than 150k or so.
I've troubleshot essentially everything I can, from upgraded drivers, resetting the router + new WPA, etc, and no go.
WRT54G works fine. All my devices are connected to it except my new msi laptop.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
