SIS onboard video cards.. what a peice of crap, i have 1 in my Asus D1 desknote, just wondering if their is a way to overclock that crap so it can run at semi-respectable speeds? if not i will probably just... get a shuttle
 
Nope. It's basically a SiS315 graphic core, 2x1 pipelines and 143MHz core speed. Not exactly a speed demon when it came out almost 2 and a half years ago. Plus it shares single channel memory bandwidth with the CPU. It doesn't have the massive bandwith saving (tile rendering) that the Intel Extreme Graphics uses, so it even lags behind the Intel integrated chipsets. The SiS M650 is about 50% slower in game benchmarks than the i845G. Intel Extreme Graphics 2 is even faster.
 
wow extreme grafix is teh w1n compared to this pile of worthless garbage, amazingly it can run UT at 30-50FPS

oh BTW the desknote is a

celeron 2.5GHz, 512 MB ram, 40GB HD, CDRW+DVD

oh well it can run gunbound so its all good lol

how is SIS still in business if they make such crap?
