I came home from work today to find this on my screen:

fahalert.jpg

I use Avast Antivirus, and have never had any issues pop up like this before. the file it identified as a virus was "wudata_07.chk".

Is there a known record of AV programs providing false-positives concerning FAH WU's, or is this an issue that might need to be looked into further?

Oh my - work data is packing a nut cracker!! I've never seen anything like that on FAH stuff though - probably a false positive.

Its happened before. Can't remember what program it was, but there were a rash of false positives like that a while back.

I can never remember to use my freakin badge to submit the message in DC.

BTW, if you guys leave your AV programs active 24/7 do you find that it reduces F@H performance to any significant degree, or is it negligible?

It's a known problem with avast!. Just put the FAH folder in the exclusion list and be done ;)

LOL virus protection? what's that? Between Nat Firewalls, Windows Firewall, and that fact that I don't use the computers that are folding my risk is pretty limited so I run naked without virus protection.
