I am trying to finalize what to do for storage on my new build. I have a small office, and my PC will be used for general multi tasking, as well as hosting quickbooks data file and other company data (about 2 GB) for 2 other computers in the office. I don't want to build a separate server right now, for simplicity's sake, so my PC will serve as that as well.
Current Build : Asus P8Z68-V, i5 2500k, 16GB RAM. Win 7 home prem. connected all to Netgear 4 port wireless router.
My question is, what is the best option for fast and reliable storage? I dont require a lot of space, so I was thinking to go with 128 GB SSD aand 500GB/1TB storage/backup HDD But reliability is a concern since I will have important company info. I dont need the fastest setup possible, just fast. would a HDD RAID array be nearly as fast as SSD for general multitasking and random access? I would prefer not to buy any additional hardware, just use whats onboard.
