For some strange reason, my computer will not turn on, and when it does, it gives me this error message that says "Detecting floppy drive A media... Can not detect floppy drive A media. System Halt." and everything stops there. I don't know how this happened and it started almost out of nowhere. I've tried reseting the BIOS, but that didn't work. I've reset the jumpers about 100 times. I've tried hooking up a new floppy drive that I just bought and trying to do it without a floppy drive and it still didn't work. I don't really know what to do from here. I'm getting ready to just take a dump on it and get a new computer.
 
Check your boot sequence and see if your floppy is set to boot first. If so, try making the HD first and see if it fixes the problem.
 
How do I check my boot sequence. Because if it's in the BIOS, I can't get to it. The floppy error stops everything from starting.
 
Yes, the boot sequence is found in the BIOS. Since you say you can't get to the BIOS, try disconnecting the floppy drive first.
 
Do you even get the screen where it gives the option to press the key to get into the cmos program?
 
I have tried reseting the CMOS with the jumpers, but it still doesn't work. And it doesn't give me an option to see my system setup. Just this sort of DAS stuff. Just black screen with white typing.
