• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

It all started with
Event Viewer is "Level = Critical, Source = Kernel-Power, Event ID = 41
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

which I assume is related to
Event 55, Kernel processor power
Processor 1 in group 0 exposes the following power management capabilities:

Idle state type: ACPI Idle (C) States (1 state(s))

Performance state type: ACPI Performance (P) / Throttle (T) States
Nominal Frequency (MHz): 3401
Maximum performance percentage: 100
Minimum performance percentage: 23
Minimum throttle percentage: 23

I googled it. Tried a bunch of things. None worked. Fast forward.

I reset my bios
power comes on, fans whirl
Post failed
Cleared CMOS
Post failed
Removed all but 1 stick of memory
POST!

if I try to use dual channel i.e. slot 1+3 or 2+4
Post Failed

If I use 1+2 or 3+4
POST!

I have tried a bunch of things like
6 hours of memtest
re-seating the CPU

but I have finally hit a wall.

Please advise

EDIT1
I have also been monitoring voltages and they have been steady

While I still have the dual channel issue, the original still remains. cng.sys seems to be the culprit.

suggestions?
