I decided to overclock my I7 920 for the first time and been reading about it online since I am not too familiar. Most guides said to set the voltages manually. However the problem is whenever I set the CPU and QPI voltage to the stock 1.25v I cannot boot into windows. Either the computer turns off, then turns back on saying overclocking failed, or it endlessly trys to boot, then I blue screen, and it goes back to default settings. Right now I am at 3.4GHZ with a x20 multiplier with the voltage on AUTO and it varies between 1.264-1.272v. When setting the voltages on AUTO it works fine but as soon as I manually set a specific voltage I cannot boot. I am running the latest BIOS which is 2209 and I was debating whether to downgrade to a earlier one and see what happens.
