WMP and HD Problem

I have two 200GB WD 7200RPM hard drives in my computer (see sig). One of them is partitioned and works fine. The other has all of my movies on it, and nothing else. When I try to play the movies with wmp, they skip every 30 seconds or so, but still play. When I copy a movie to my other hard drive from the second one, they work fine, no skipping.

Any idea what can be causing this? Could it be something with the connection (molex or ide cable)?
 
What is dma? I believe I have the jumper set to cable select... or perhaps slave
