Greetings most exalted ones...
Decided to jump for a new computer and getting around to integrating the stuff into my new Lian-Li 601B. I don't want to re-invent the wheel, but this wiring has got to get improved
I went down to the local army surplus and peered around in some old electronic gear to see how they were routing wires and such. Seems like form follows function in that I see a lot of metal tubes and bars bolted into the cases so the wiring has places to be attached to. It seems they get fairly straight forward cable runs that go right to where it attaches on the circuit board.
I've been perusing the board here and I haven't seen anything like this. I thought about running a metal bar from the bottom of the case to just above the motherboard about a height just above the video cards and another going from this bar to the back of the case. Along with giving me a place to secure my wiring I think I will also be able to run the water lines along the same bars.
Any thoughts appreciated as I don't want to reinvent the wheel
