Do you need resistors?
Um... well... that depends on the type of LED and what you're powering them off of. If you're using a 5 vDC LED on a 12 vDC power line then you're going to need resistors, if you're using a 3.3 vDC LED on a 5 vDC power source then you're going to need resistors.
If you're just trying to replace the LEDs on the front of your case use 5 vDC LEDs, most motherboards use 5 or 3.3 vDC power for status LEDs, then you won't need resistors.

What are they salvaged? What website doesn't list specs of hardware they sell?
If they've been salvaged from an automotive application and have resistors already attached they're probably (that's PROBABLY, who know what they're actually for) already set up for 12 vDC with the resistors.
I'd say just go to Radio Shack and buy LEDs with known specs before you burn something up.

No, they are not salvaged LED's, they aren't used already from an automotive application.
I got them from Oznium.com I was referred to them because of the quality of their LED's. And the person that referred them to me has used their LED's for years and never had a problem.
The thing about going to Rat Shack to get resistors is all well and good, but the problem is I have no clue what resistors to get. I haven't ever worked with LED's before so this is all very new to me.

In the FAQ's section stickeied at the top of this form is a whole section on LED's, with a link for determining the correct resisters to use.

Not really, I was looking at that site the day I posted this thread and I don't understand what the hell I'm supposed to do on it. I'm an idiot when it comes to LED's.Sean22190 said:

Ok, I'm still slightly confused on these resistors. I used the chart from one of the links provided here to determine what resistor I have.
And from what I gathered I've got a 47 ohm resistor.
Is this correct?
Reading the stipes from left to right I've got a Brown resistor with Yellow band, Violet band, Brown band, and Silver band. If that is correct can I use this resistor in my computer? If not which type of resistor will I need? I'm kindo f dead in the water on my Star Wars case mod until I can figure this out.
I've also got some 6.8k Ohm 2% resistors.
In fact, here is a picture of all the resistors I have. Theresistors at the top of the picture are the ones I got with my LED's and have been described above.
