Wireless mouse and gaming

I am thinking of getting a wireless keyboard/mouse combo, but I have heard that some do not have fast enough response time for gaming. I want to be able to game, so is there any mouse that would be recommended for gaming, or should I just stick with a cord?

I'm trying to keep the price under $75 for mouse/keyboard if possible.
 
The cheap ones sick for gaming. A logitech mx700 will work fine. And i've had good luck with the microsoft Wirelss intellimouse exploror2
 
Wireless mousing in games takes some getting use too, I use a logitech mx900 (bluetooth version of 700) and it took me awhile to get use to, but overall it is worth it. If you plan on using over long periods of time (5 hours plus i'd say) I'd get a corded, because recharging is a pain, and it is heavy, possibly causing your wrist to get tired or sore.
 
Mx duo. Didn't take any getting used to, never had a problem, batteries haven't died after a full year.
 
I bought the Logitech wireless mouse and took it back after a few days. As was noted earlier, they weight twice as much as a corded mouse and I found the performance to be "less than perfect". The mouse pointer would not consistently land at the same location for me. I see this problem with other wireless mice that I have looked at. When I move the mouse rapidly, the cursor is not always acurate. And in a FPS, that gets me killed.

This is from a guy who has been gaming with a corded mouse for a long time. I just did not like the feel of the wireless mouse.
