I am trying to install Windows XP into a new system I setup and it uses an SATA HD. When I try installing windows I get an unknown disk error where i normally select the drive to install to, then if i press a key i get BSoD that says windows has been shut down to prevent damage to my computer. any help?

Did the board come with a SATA driver disk (floppy)?
You may need to set your BIOS to boot from the floppy and install the drivers first (at least that's how it worked on my NF7-S).
Hope this is some help.

When the XP install starts up you need to hut (I think) "F6" and once it is done loading the files it will prompt you for the floppy with the drivers on it. Load them and install as normal.

Yeah TekieB is right. Also make suere you set you BIOS also.
