Windows disk managment JBOD upgrade Question

if i set up a JBOD through windows disk manager without using any raid controller just the onboard SATA and ATA controllers on my motherboard

and then switch to a new motherboard with different SATA and ATA controllers is windows smart enough to rebuild the JBOD ?

Thats the nice thing about a software raid. They are controller independent, you can switch the underlying hardware whenever you want no problem. I moved my WinXP dynamic disk RAID-0 stripe to an all new PC no problems after my previous one met with a watery death.
