Win7 Photo Manager

Anyone else have problems opening pictures in Photo Manager?

It seems that just about every picture takes over a minute for the Photo manager window to show and open a picture. And these pictures are under 1024x800, so i know it cant be file size issue.

32bit Win7 Enterprise
3.5GB RAM

Photo Manager? If you mean Win7's default Photo Viewer, try going to http://download.live.com and grab Photo Gallery from Windows Live Essential. It has far more feature than Viewer has. See if Photo Gallery works better for you. If it acts the same way, then it sounds like you have issues not related to image viewers.

First thing I would check is video card driver.

Yeah, Photo Galley is much nicer than the included stuff and it has a nice tool for publishing live pictures that are easy to hook into vBulletin sites like [H] by hosting them on Windows Live. Live actually has some cool stuff. But pictures should open quickly either way.
