I have not come across a monitor that can get the fullest range of gray scale using the monitors contrast and brightness controls. I always end up with the nvidia or ATI control panel adjustments to improve this. I don't have a calibration tool, I do this looking at gray scale and gamma patterns on the screen. Is this common and doesn't this make the win7 calibration useless?
