Will this work on Am2? (wcing)

I don't think so. Other waterblocks usually require an adapter plate to be used with an AM2 socket. I think that system is the same situation.

I'd think so since S940 is AM2. I checked the site and it said it will support K8's but didn't say anything about AM2. I'd give it a shot, what do you have to lose?

Money if Newegg won't accept an RMA for an exchange for another product. Remember, the return period starts the day you click the "confirm order".

The best source of info would be to contact TT. Just make sure you go thru thermaltakeUSA. I once asked a question thru the main TT website, never got an answer. Asked the same question thru the TTUSA site and got an answer within a day.

One month is more than enough time and besides, some of the online sales reps are very nice and won't charge shipping or the restocking fee.

You pay out of pocket for shipping return costs. I'd suggest he do some research before he makes the leap of faith.
