Yes. If you want to use only the new better card, you should make sure you clean and disable the integrated first. First uninstall any soundmax integrated soundcard drivers, then reboot, go to the bios, and disable the onboard audio. This way windows wont see the the integrated anymore. After this you can insert the new card and install its drivers.

Just wondering, why are you getting audigy2 with that high price? There are much better cards as an example, newest creatives X-Fi
 
o cus i got it from ebay for like 120 with shipping and it came with some games i wanted so i figured ide get it lol. also waht do u mean by clean and disable intigrated first??
 
Uninstall integrated sound drivers (soundmax) and then reboot, go to bios and disable onboard audio. Only after that install the new soundcard (audigy)
