hey, i've been wanting to play around with water cooling for some time now (probably just with some old spare parts i don't care about anyway) but i haven't been able to get the cash together. i came across this box for $6 at a local shop. It's called the "Sussman Aquamatic II Series 78." it's got a tube with what looks to be about 1/8th inch tubing going in one way and an output on the other end. from what i can tell this might have been used for irons but i can't really tell. Does this thing heat the water you think or just pump it? I'll post a picture in a minute of the innards, perhaps that will tell something. Like i said i'm not planning on using this for anything important if it can work just something to dick around with while i have a month off of school.








 
The only thing I could find for that was just like you thought; a pump for a steam iron. It appears that the iron is responsible for heating the water but the tubing and flow is probably to low to be useful.
 
i forgot to mention, on one side there's a sticker that says "Cycles 50/60" if that means anything. however I rigged up some totally ghetto tubing out of an inner tube and it seems to not be functional. i hear a slight hum and can feel it trying to do something but no water flows either direction. kind of a bummer but $6 for a cool little project box isn't TOO terrible i guess.
