Will this adapter work?

Will this adapter work with this fan ?
The adapter appears to be a 12VAC 1.25A output and the fan appears to be DC12V 0.35A input.
I've never known a transformer to output AC current, am I reading this correctly?

Transformers are inherently an AC-to-AC device.

When an adapter like that puts out DC, it is because it has a built-in rectifier to change the AC to DC.

That adapter (by itself) is unlikely to work with a DC fan.

Well, I don't have a 12V DC adapter so I guess it'd be best to buy a new fan that runs on 120VAC.
