I was thinking that since N beat them with their reference will they release the non reference cards?
I am sure that every manufacture has them in inventory.
AMD has sit on their ass and let N make them look stupid since the middle of October.
Of course N looks stupid with the price of the Ti But fan boys will be all over it.
with proper cooling and bios they can run close to it.
LOL made them look stupid, smoke some more my man you need it. AMD made most of N lineup look overpriced in regards to their performance for the price they wanted, the benefit N had was power consumption.
Radeons may not have PhysX and other prop BS that N rely on for fanboys but they will be having some first tier support from most of the devs/publishers going forward, so in your words, N is looking mighty stupid right now sitting on their ass letting AMD get all the support cause they did not want to bother AND think all the plans are not worth their time (which also means their customers will pay and do in the long run)
From the reviews I have seen the 780Ti for most folks that $ actually matters just is not worth it the R290 is simply the better $/performance card really, but hey at least its cheaper then Titan which is overpriced for what it is now(and maybe top of the litter for what it is but $1k consumer card LOL, the cooler is not worth $300 IMHO, so pay more get PhysX support, a better cooler for virtually the same overall experience, hell $150 you can probably make custom cooler for yourself, for $150 I would make the cooler for you
The first comparison everyone is most curious about is how would the GeForce GTX 780 Ti compare to the AMD Radeon R9 290X. Out of all our games, there was only one game that had a higher playable setting on the GTX 780 Ti, Far Cy 3.
However, in every other game we tested the gameplay experience was exactly the same between the GTX 780 Ti and the R9 290X at 2560x1600 resolution. There were some small framerate performance differences, often with the GTX 780 Ti coming out on top. However, we are talking about differences at most of 5%. With a difference that small, it is not noticeable in-game and does not allow one card to offer a better visual quality experience over the other.
For all intents and purposes, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti and the Radeon R9 290X at Uber Mode are identical in delivering the same gameplay experience.
It is clear from this breakdown that the AMD Radeon R9 290X is the better value in terms of performance by a long shot. It is $150 cheaper than the GeForce GTX 780 Ti, but delivers the same gameplay experience and very near the same framerate performance. A performance difference that makes little or no real difference. The $150 price difference is a much larger difference than the performance difference.
The GTX 780 Ti does not dominate the Radeon R9 290X. Instead, it kind of helps prove that the Radeon R9 290X is a powerful (and power hungry) beast of a video card. The GeForce GTX 780 Ti with all its SMX units and CUDA Cores at play, is only equaling the performance and experience of the Radeon R9 290X. The GTX 780 Ti isn't overshadowing the R9 290X, or claiming a clear win or victory. The GTX 780 Ti is merely matching the gameplay experience of the Radeon R9 290X. In fact, the GTX 780 Ti is matching the R9 290X gameplay experience at a $150 premium.
When it comes down to bang for the buck, the Radeon R9 290X is offering that in spades. Even the Radeon R9 290 is close to R9 290X performance levels for a lot less expense.
so yeh, do not know why you have said attitude about you IMHO, AMD has hardly sat on their ass if anything they shook the market at all price points VERY well, it takes a card/card(s) at the absolute pinnacle of process to match AMD card but by their design is cooler and less power hungry. Rx300 series is going to rock hard quote me on that, I think Nvidia will be really caught off guard.
They held off releasing the 290X until after Nvidia canada.
They held off releasing the 290 until after Nvidia cut their prices.
EVERY review says the damn thing is too hot and too loud.
Now wait and wait on Nvidia to run their business.
now the 780Ti which I agree is WAY overpriced but that has not stopped a fan boy yet.
GET IN FRONT don't be led.
oh and a super smart company like AMD once said that they would beat conroe in 6 months.
ROFL
GTX 780 Ti is matching the R9 290X
12 to 18 percent faster is a match ?
Quit thinking that AMD is your savior or your buddy.
Neither company gives a rats ass about you only what they can bleed out of you.
