will they make a 5770k?

How did I know this thread is going to be useless the moment I saw AndreRio as the thread creator? I'm sorry, but a question like this doesn't even deserve an answer.

stupid I did not know if it was going to exist or not, after reading a bit more. now I know that they will. thanks for nothing. next time don't post on my threads. please.

hello everybody else.
does anyone know if Broadwell will use ddr4 only?

Haswell-E will use DDR4. Broadwell-H if it is to run on the lga1150 platform it will use DDR3 only. Skylake will have a new socket and will use DDR4 only in 2016.

It might not be called a 5770k, but there will definitely be a Broadwell i7 unlocked desktop processor. With more than half of the threads you create, I don't know whether you are genuinely ignorant, uninformed, stupid, or just being a plain troll.

Tsumi is such a charmer! :)

I want to build a new machine soon, but not sure it will help in games for me(or anything i do for that matter)

It appears as it he is the Intel subform version of a certain precious metal plated Tiger that loves the green koolaide ;)..Don't let yourself sink too low or you will be in infraction land with me before you know it:p..

We won't know for sure until much nearer the time but based on the last couple of die shrinks i'd expect broadwell to be pretty underwhelming from a desktop perspective.

I think 32nm was better than expected but 22nm did not help much at the high end over 32nm and all we have seen from 14nm is delays.

The move from 45nm to 32nm was weird because they for the most part didn't produce comparable parts. 45nm nahelm parts were all quad cores. 32nm westmere parts were generally 2 or 6 core (there were a few quad core xeons which AIUI were crippled 6-core parts).

New microarchitectures tend to give bigger performance gains than die shrinks but even there you need a couple of generations to really notice it.
