Will my current hd work with my new system?

I have a Western Digital 250gb on my pc right now running windows xp just fine. I plan to build a new system but dont have enough money for a new hd right now. My question is can i just mount the current hd i have to my new system and expect everything to run well?

Yes. But you're going to have to reinstall Windows if you want it to be stable.
