So as you know OCZ has no OSX support, but that should just mean to install operating systems right?

I plan to install this via windows 7, format as exfat, then switch over to mac and format as mac journaled. I just need to be able to read from the drive (music samples), as I currently do with my crucial m4 sata 3s. Unfortunately Im all out of sata ports.

Thanks!

Probably won't work. The card uses a PCI-e/SATA bridge that most likely has no Mac OS X driver. If you can find a driver for this chip then maybe it'll work.

Plus, it's OSZ. Gotta recommend against purchasing anything from them.

Well, this is a hackintosh if that changes anything.

Specs:

3930k
GA x79 UD5
GTX 680
Mountain Lion 10.8 Genuine

Not sure if I saw any kexts floating around. Are there any cheap pcie ssds that support OSX? I can't use Marvel because they crash my set up and unmount themselves.

Proobably still better off using a cheap SATA host adaptor (HBA) and then attaching another SSD to it. Don't know if bootable though.

This seems to be something very few people don't know, nobody in the htosh forums can give me an answer either.

To use it someone will have to write a driver for OSX..hackintosh or not. So the answer is going to be no unless someone writes a driver.
