wii and projection and rear projection dlp tv's

i remember back in the day you couldnt put any gaming consoles on projection tv's. has this changed at all? the reason I am asking is because I want to hook up a wii to a tv and all I have at the moment is a rear projection dlp and a projection tv.
 
No problems at all. Mine's hooked up to one.
Just set your Wii to display in 16x9 (and 480p if you're using component cables) and you'll be golden.

exactly. i have a rear projection samsung dlp, 50". no issues at all w/ any of my gaming systems including the Wii and 360.


i think the issue in the past was w/ image burn in, you won't have that issue w/ dlp.
 
agreed on all points.

Running a 52" Mitsu DLP here with the Wii and components. No problems.
 
I run my Wii on a 55" Toshiba projection EDTV that's around 8 years old and it works great. It should be even better on a DLP.
