It has to be recompiled every time they update the game. I'm guessing the guy wasn't getting any donations and just gave up. Not worth his time. Especially considering MW2 was being updated every other day as IW tried to fight off the pirates and hackers who infested their game after dropping punkbuster and dedicated servers.
