i got a soundblaster live 24 bit and 5.1 creative speakers. now my mic doesnt work....WHATS GOING ON?!!?? thanks

Why doesnt my mic work

a) is it turned on? -> turn it on
b) is it muted in the driver? -> unmute it
c) is it simply too quiet? -> use the mic boost
d) is it plugged in? -> plug it in
e) is it plugged in the right spot? -> plug into correct spot
f) is it broken? -> buy a new one
I would guess that covers it.

it was plugged in my onboard sound card....HEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHHEE
