Why do threads here get deleted so fast?

It doesn't take a great mind to tell that there is a hell of a lot more traffic in the AMD forum that this one. Why delete threads so fast for age alone? We all know Intel is king and will be coming back, it just sucks that the low-traffic here means that anything posted here will dissapear within a couple of days.
 
Intel aint the king of crap I stand by my words (except for mobile chips and even that iffy).
 
As a rule, we don't delete threads, but you are correct in your statement about trolling.....it will earn you a vacation from the forums. We do however lock threads like this one, leaving it in place as a warning not to repeat the offense.

Threads rarely get deleted here. As mentioned above, flamebait does get deleted.

I like to think that fewer people have problems with Intel than AMD. ;) Most board polls show the CPU distribution 50/50 AMD/Intel.

Not really man. When an enthusiast site like this one runs a poll, AMD is often as dominant in it as Intel is in real life. i.e 3:1. That in and of itself has been quite a topic. How the hobbyists often pick one camp, while joe user is totally reversed. It's just the truth. Not like you aren't a "pro" user if you go intel, just that you are in the 25%. :)

edit: Google shows I'm not quite right. More like 2:1 average. 67% AMD. 33% Intel. But now rather than stretching, thats probably conservative. People rarely have problems with cpu's anyways. No way the tilt has anything to do with that. Go look in the AMD section. Hardly a peep on that, just "what should I buy?" etc. At quick galnce the front page has one thing that resembles a problem. Someone is concerned there X2 is running a little warm, and they are right.... a whooping 42C. :p
 
Enthusiasts like what's best at the time, since performance is on their mind, typically. I've seen even the most ardent intelboy on this forum say that the Athlon64 right now is superior to the Pentium 4 (but they always add that Conroe will be better)

Intel is the king of marketshare, if anything.
 
Processor forums are divided into 2 camps. The Intel forum is for discussion of strictly Intel business and the same goes for the AMD forum. Any promotion of the opposing CPU in the other's forum is considered trolling and will be dealt with in accordance to the rules.
 
To the OP, as mentioned, we don't generally delete threads. However, if you check the display options, both the AMD and Intel forums are set to display threads from the last day only. So use the drop-down menu and select whatever timeframe you want and you will see more threads. :)
